I REALLY like photographing people, which is probably one of the reasons this final shoot last year, rapidly became one of my favourite shoots of the year! How did I not clock the amazing opportunities of photographing bloggers before?!
It doesn’t feel fair to say I like some shoots more than others, purely because I would never take on a shoot I didn’t feel I would enjoy (how would I make a great job of that?), but the second you include people in your images, they come to life so much more. Plus, I have always loved working with women/mums who aren’t keen on being photographed.
Anyway, Jemma is a Health & Wellness blogger and was amazing to photograph! Between us we had a long list of ideas to work on, which meant we covered so much variety (planning is always key). It was very indulgent to do a full shoot with Jemma being in 90% of the shots. Jemma is a very capable photographer, so all focus was on shooting images with Jemma in them – the kind of images that are super hard to do yourself.
We ended up with a big set of final images that Jemma can use across her marketing materials, including lots of clothes changes, different rooms, inside and outside. Here is a tiny taster.
