What will happen on the day
Our aim is for everyone to have a lovely enjoyable day, feeling great.
Jess will talk a little bit about what happens to our skin as we get older, the changes that happens and how to work around this with your everyday make-up routines.
Most of us haven’t changed our make-up in years and go on auto-pilot every morning when applying the exact same look. Jess will show you how to break away from your habits and achieve that natural and flawless everyday look that we would all love to master. Once the every day look is complete, Jess will also show how to do a different look, for occasions, or evenings out. Ironically we all want to look our very best at special events, but often end up looking less than glamorous because we have very little experience in doing anything apart from applying a thicker layer of our very traditional everyday make-up.
Everyone will have a chance to apply make-up and try all the ideas out on them selves, with Jess on hand to help, tweak and answer questions. You are welcome to bring your own make-up bag and Jess can help guide you on how to use things you already have.
Once your make-up looks great, you will be in the hands of Dorte, who will do a little series of elegant portraits of you. You can bring a couple of options of clothing to wear in your pictures if you are unsure what to go for. As a guide try to stick with plain colours, nothing too floral or big patterns. You could go for a dress for a very elegant look, or considering it will be autumn, textures items like faux fur and knit photographs really well. Wear something you will like, for example if you have worries about your arms, wear something with sleeves, perhaps ¾ sleeves? Statement jewellery, like a large chucky necklace can also work really well.
There will be nibbles, refreshments and lunch to keep you going strong during the day.
